Welcome to 2017! What a year I have ahead of me – so many beautiful weddings to come, and as I write this on a cold and grey January day (wrapped in a blanket and covered in cats), I honestly cannot WAIT until the days start getting longer, the sun starts to shine, and wedding season truly starts up again! So what better way to kick off the blog this year than with a gorgeous burst of colour from one of my favourite weddings of last summer – Sam & Toby’s delightfully eccentric, superbly colourful, and downright bonkers Pangdean Old Barn wedding. Wow what a day this was. Held over Pride weekend, this big day was a proper celebration of love and acceptance in all its guises, and was one of the most heartwarming weddings I’ve been to.  Sam and Toby are proper soul mates – Sam’s calm balances Toby’s enthusiasm so well – and it’s just a joy to be around them.

They chose the Sussex Meeting House Chapel for their ceremony – have you ever seen such a stunning ceremony room with all that coloured glass. The perfect setting for this quirky colourful couple – Sam with her vintage dress, amazing red hair and henna’d hands, and Toby in his traditional Indian wedding suit. Surrounded by their group of besties, this wedding had everything – vintage transport (my fave Morris Minor Floss!), Indian drumming, Welsh love spoon favours for Sam’s family and a good singalong to Hanson’s Mmmm Bop during both the Bride’s and her dad’s speech (what can we say, the bride loves Hanson!). We had stand-up comedy from Toby’s hilarious bestie Kayo, followed by a set by Toby’s band the Jetset International. The Groom even took a turn on the drums! Just a brilliant day at my favourite venue Pangdean Old Barn and it makes me so happy looking through these pics! Happy Wedding you lovely people! xxx
