Sooo…. if you have not been to the Bell Inn Ticehurst, I highly recommend you put down your mobile / ipad / computer, get in your car and get yourselves there immediately!!! The Bell Inn is just the most wonderful, atmospheric, super-cool and super-quirky venue. It’s covered in oddities which make it just the perfect spot for a wedding and for photographs (Indoor trees! Vintage Vivienne Westwood wallpaper! Squirrels dressed in little tweed suits! Nice beer!!! Seriously, go there – you’ll love it) So when I met the gorgeous Amy & Jamie I was so excited to hear all their plans – and their wedding was such a fab occasion. Starting with one of the happiest ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed at St Paul’s Church in Rusthall, Amy & Jamie headed over to The Bell Inn for lots of fun and celebrations. I love that we got to use their little Love Nest Cottage for some piccies – look at all those cute little cuckoo clocks!
The Bell’s tag line is “Apparently” and (to paraphrase the sign they have on the wall) they explain that “In the word ‘Apparently’ lies the art of storytelling: It gives you license to embellish, inflate and add your own twist. Apparently: it belongs to you”. Which I think pretty much also sums up weddings – that uniqueness and personal spin is what I love so much about every single big day I have the honour of photographing.
