Well, it’s that time of year again when my cameras are having a little breather, my desk starts to look (slightly) more tidy – and I can have a good look back at all the BEAUTIFUL weddings I shot this year. 2014 has definitely been one of my favourites, and as I look through these gorgeous special weddings I feel so many emotions. This year I have experienced so many amazing moments with the most interesting, funny, intelligent, kind and thoughtful people – I’ve been driven round in golf buggies, cadillacs and campervans, I’ve worked in barns, vineyards, hotels and people’s back gardens. I nearly got electrocuted on the Volks railway for a photo, have fended off a million offers of Jagerbombs (the wedding drink of 2014), photographed dogs in suits and have even put the bride’s sisters contact lens in for her. I’ve burst a tyre making a dramatic entrance at the church, have battled with the elements and been blessed with the most amazing light just when I needed it most. I’ve made a lot of new friends this year, who’ve treated me more like a guest than a photographer and who I’m quite missing now that their weddings are over.
So this year, I’m looking back and feeling so honoured & grateful that I’ve been able to share these special times with these stunning couples. Thank you thank you thank you every lovely one of you for trusting me with your biggest day – you make my world such a fine place by being in it! And a great huge big Happy first married Christmas to you! xxxx
