Goodwood House wedding – a wonderful windy wedding day!

The 20th October is St Jude’s Day – this isn’t a day I usually know much about, but this year I was very aware of it as this was the day that a blimming great big storm called Hurricane Jude came and walloped the UK with some very strong winds indeed. I was paying particular attention to this as I was out shooting this lovely wedding on this day! At Goodwood House – which if you know your wedding venues, you’ll know this is surrounded by HUGE great big trees! Eeeek! Armed with a bootful of emergency supplies (mainly mars bars), I set off to find this gorgeous bride getting ready with her lovely bridesmaids and really not batting an eyelid at the weather forecasts! This is my kind of bride!! This lovely pair had a beautiful ceremony at Boxgrove Priory and then we went on to Goodwood House for more celebrations. I thought that would be it for outdoor photos – but my amazing couple had booked a vintage golf buggy (called Woody) and off we went – in the high winds – in a golf buggy – around the woods. YES this does not sensible… but it was a right giggle (and all the bride’s idea I promise!!!) Clinging on for dear life whilst my lovely assistant Keith was trying to keep the golf buggy on the road will remain one of my highlights of 2013. Extreme wedding photography – YEAH! Here is a little taster of what we got up to – and you know, I don’t think you can even tell it was windy! xxxx
