Many people dream of having their wedding on an exotic beach with the sun beating down on them, and warm sand between their toes. They dream of getting married under a blue sky, with waves lapping gently at the shore and palm trees waving in the warm breeze. Well, that’s some people. But it’s definitely not this couple who decided to do things a bit topsy turvy – Lucy & Tony live in actual exotic paradise (Dubai indeed!) and chose to come all the way to rainy old Brighton in April especially for their wedding day. They chose the Mercure Brighton Hotel as the venue and we made sure we made good use of the seafront, beach-huts and Brighton Bandstand too! We might not have had the blue skies, sand, sun, palm trees etc but what we did have is the most AWESOME bride and groom, who didn’t bat an eyelid to standing in the rain for photos, who smiled their way through their day with the biggest and most beautiful smiles you could imagine, and who just laughed and laughed, and had the best day of their lives with their crazy funny lovely friends and family. Highlights for me, the Bride’s dad singing the full version of ‘Friday I’m in Love’ before he started his speech, Nan having a good old boogie on the dancefloor, all the shots, the bride’s special yellow apron, and just really all the laughs – this wedding was a proper stompingly good knees up and I loved every minute of it! Huge congrats L&T and keep smiling your beautiful smiles you lovely people!
