Awww I do quite love Reeta and Pete. Their wedding invitation pretty much sums them up when it says “A love of travel, theatre, walking, wine, books, Brighton, bad jokes, barbecues and each other has bought them together. Now they’re getting married – hurrah!” – so I knew I was going to be in for a most excellent wedding day! Reeta & Pete chose to hold their relaxed family celebration at the English Wine Centre in Alfriston and the weather was absolutely perfect. It was such a treat to photograph all the gorgeous colour that made up such a part of their day – from Reeta’s stunning wedding dress, to Pete’s fab shirt and tie combo, to the beautiful flowers that filled the marquee. And check out their gorgeous wedding cake! I love that they bought in all elements of their families traditions – starting with Reeta’s beautiful henna’d hands through to the exchange of flower garlands and well wishes. And Pete as a New Zealander upheld the Kiwi traditions of a great big barbecue and lots of beer – yeah! It was an absolute pleasure to be part of – and my favourite part of the day has to be the amazing thumb-wrestling between Reeta & Pete. These guys are Olympic standard!! xxxxx
