It is extremely rare to get a day when it doesn’t stop raining once – usually you get a break in the clouds for at least ten minutes where we can nip out for photographs. Not so for the blustery windswept rainy day we had last month for Rachel & Ben’s wedding at Upwaltham Barns! That rain did not stop falling! But it actually really added to the romance and englishness of this beautiful country garden wedding – and the smiles and happiness didn’t stop all day. Upwaltham Barns is a great venue because everywhere you look is perfect for a photograph, so we just got creative under shelter!!! And anyway they say it’s very lucky to have rain on your wedding day (which in this country is just as well!)
Isn’t Rachel the most stunning bride – and has a touch of a certain Kate Middleton to her I think. She is such an English rose, totally beautiful and yet so lovely with it. Her and Ben are such a sweet couple, and their friends and family were just lovely. And totally knew how to party!! Congratulations Mr & Mrs King – thank you so much for letting me be part of your day.
