Oooh the lovely lovely Amy & Simon’s wedding day at the Grand Hotel Brighton! What a treat it is to show you these photos and I have to say this wedding is definitely up there as one of my very favourites ever!!! I first spoke to Amy last year, and when she outlined her plans for their wedding day (ie a big party, lots of fun, lots of friends, nothing stuffy or formal, and just a really good knees up) – well, I just absolutely loved everything about it.
This gorgeous big day is so packed full of quirky little touches and inspiring ideas – I absolutely adore the colour scheme of blue and yellow, I’m in love with Amy’s gorgeous dress (with blue petticoat and shoes!!!), Miss Moles Flower Emporium created such amazing happy daffodil bouquets which perfectly matched Simon’s yellow socks. A big high five must go to their table themes – all sorts of different bottles of gin YUM! – and their amazing pork pie wedding cake! Guests had streamers to wave, and flumps to scoff (got to love a flump!!!). And a special mention must go to their amazing wedding band, The Iron Boot Scrapers – honestly you have never seen anything like this lot! Their rendition of Backstreet Boys “Everybooddddy” was a personal highlight – they were both brilliant and hilarious in equal measure!
Amy is a very talented photographer, and there is no greater honour than shooting a fellow photographer’s big day. Add this into the fact that Amy and Simon are two of the nicest kindest, most lovely people you could ever hope to meet and you have the perfect recipe for the most perfect day. Thank you so much you lovely people for placing so much trust in me, and I think we can safely say… you two officially rock!!! x
