I’m calling a new wedding trend for 2018… Cat Bouquets!!!!!!! Okay, actually I know that’s not going to work (although I am ever hopeful!!!) but it is ever so nice to get much-loved furbabies in the wedding photos! This fine feline is Aggie the cat, who lives with her mum and dad (the scrummy Georgina and Jon) in Brighton. G&J are a super creative, arty, smart, outdoorsy couple who make the most of every minute of their day – and their wedding was a feast of colour, craft and general gorgeousness. They live over the road from the church that they got married in, and it was such a lovely happy community celebration, with miles of bunting all around the church grounds (well done Georgina’s mum!). Beautiful bright flowers from Webb & Farrer added that perfect splash of summery colour – and check out the amazing wedding car! The whole day was such a relaxed happy occasion, with picnic food in the gardens at Pangdean (my fave venue, I could rave on about it forever!!) before a sit down slap up meal in the main barn.
Georgina & Jon collect stereograms (vintage photos which appear 3D when you look through a special viewer called a stereoscope) and on the run up to the wedding I had a good investigate to see if I could make one at their wedding! G&J were totally onboard with the experiment and happy day – the images we created (see the b&W one below) actually worked – as Georgina emailed me to say “IT WORKS!!! The stereoscope picture works!! After some wiggling about suddenly the photo came to life and they all look AMAZING! We even had a tear looking at them, thank you so so much.” Hurray!!! Then I was over the moon when G&J arrived on my doorstep with a special thank you gift – my very own stereoscope!! I couldn’t believe it – and just shows what thoughtful kind clever people they are. Thank you guys, I hope we stay in touch for a long time xxxxx
