One of the things I love about photographing weddings in this country is that the weather definitely keeps you on your toes. I arrived at Emma & Dave’s Pangdean Old Barn wedding during the most torrential downpours we’d had all year. Roads were flooded, traffic was chaos and everyone was trying to find their winter coats – this as we know is exactly what to expect mid-August in the UK! Crazy British summers! Good job then that lovely Emma and Dave are the most chilled out, relaxed and lovely people you could ever hope to meet – and that they’d chosen the most gorgeous venue with loads of indoor and outdoor options to get married in – lovely Pangdean!
I first met Emma and Dave at their friends Becky and Greg’s wedding (one of my faves of all time), and was so honoured when they wanted to book me for their wedding! They totally made my year by changing the date of their wedding so that I could do it, which meant so much to me (thank you lovely people!) And I loved every minute of their big day – these stylish creative people worked so hard to bring so many unique touches to their wedding – from handmade invitation lanyards (awesome), to the insanely gorgeous table decos (with a photo of every single guest as the name card – what a labour of love!). How stylish is Emma’s gorgeous dress – and those amazing Manolo Blahnik Sex in the City blue shoes squeeeeeeee! Amazing flowers, gorgeous suits for the boys, rose tequila for the shots, a cake table to die for (well done Treacle & Co) and a stomping party with the Indie Killers – honestly this wedding is a masterclass in chic, stylish, relaxed, barn wedding style!!! Thank you so much Emma & Dave – you brought the sun out with your lovely wedding!! Biggest hugs xxxx
