…. I know us wedding photographers shouldn’t really have favourites, and I can honestly say that every single wedding I shoot, I hold really dear to my heart. But every now and then a couple come along who are well… just a little bit special. And these gorgeous people, Susie and Joel, and their beautiful Grittenham Barns wedding day was one of my absolute highlights this summer. From the minute I arrived to photograph Susie getting ready with her best friends and mum, I knew we’d be up for a day full of laughter, a lot of fun, and possibly a fair amount of fizzy wine. The perfect ingredients for a wedding! Susie and Joel are super-relaxed people and they chose the perfect venue for a proper knees up! No one even minded that it rained a bit, especially as the marquee we were all in had a scalextric track and a Pimp your Prosecco station. See I told you they were awesome! One of the things I love most about these two is that they were up for anything including tramping through wet grass to find the stunning hay barn. What a picture perfect spot, and just the most romantic end to the day. And a massive shout out to Joel for the best dancefloor action I have ever seen. He donned the cardboard costume from the LMFAO video Party Rock Anthem and then proceeeded to do the full dance routine. Honestly, I had tears of laughter running down my face, good job the camera is waterproof. Susie and Joel you are absolute LEGENDS and your wedding was just properly ACE!!!
