May the Fourth be with you… a beautiful DIY wedding with a seasidey twist!

Wow – this gorgeous diy wedding that I had the honour of photographing is jam-packed with so much wedding prettiness, it’s hard to know where to start!! Firstly, it was on May the Fourth – which is a rather cool date for a wedding – and the Groom honoured this with his amazing Star Wars cufflinks. The Bride & Groom also entered their wedding reception to the Imperial March which was brilliant! Nancy had spent over two years planning her big day, which was held at her parents’ house in Kent. She and her team of extremely amazing friends and family transformed their back garden into the most amazing wedding and as Nancy and her groom live in Brighton, they had a cool retro seasidey theme – complete with a mini-beach!!!

Nancy has so many fabulous ideas – from her gorgeous hand-drawn invites, her vintage tea-cup collection, deck-chairs and life saving ring, the mobile chippy for the evening and even straws with tasks for each guest to do (the mexican wave one was a winner!). I also have to add that the photo I took of Nancy laughing might just be my fave wedding pic I’ve taken – it just sums up everything about this wedding to me. And before you start to wonder where all the photos of the Groom are, he is in a high profile job and so they are keeping those pictures just for them to enjoy! But if you want to know what he looks like, just look at the lego figure on the wedding cake – it is IDENTICAL 🙂 !
