It’s no secret that I love weddings – all kinds of weddings – large ones, small ones, indoor ones, outdoor ones, city weddings, seasidey weddings, country weddings, ALL SORTS OF WEDDINGS! And one thing that’s really important to me at every wedding I shoot, is that I really capture the spirit of the day – I want the photographs to show you your wedding day as you remember it, even those moments you didn’t see. I want your personalities to shine out of every photograph so that people look and wish they’d been a guest at your big day because you are such awesome people. And that’s what I love the most about Heidi & Jack’s intimate Ashdown Park Hotel wedding day – their beautiful smiles and happy relaxed way with each other carried through every minute of the day, setting such a positive atmosphere. When I first started chatting to Heidi about their plans, she explained how important this wedding day was to her and her fiancé Jack – they’d had a pretty tough few years and wanted to have a happy lowkey celebration with their gorgeous son Arthur, and their very closest family. Natural, relaxed photography was really important to them, and even though there were only 8 guests (including the bride and groom themselves), this is exactly what I kept in mind. These two make my heart skip a beat when I look at them together – the way Jack looks at Heidi just melts my heart, he absolutely adores her and they were such a dream to photograph as they are just so gorgeous, and so much in love. Combine that with their beautiful boy who had everyone laughing so much with his cheekiness, this day couldn’t have been any more perfect – and really I think you can see from these photos just how blimmin awesome Heidi & Jack are.
