I have a very soft spot for these two gorgeous quirky kind people.  They really do love all their friends and family to bits, and they really really wanted to get married – they just weren’t quite sure how much they’d enjoy the actual wedding day.  Which I totally understand – it’s a hard thing to imagine, especially if you hate being the centre of attention.  What if you fall over walking down the aisle? What if you fluff your lines in the ceremony? Will you just want to hide under the table when it’s time for the speeches?  Why… Read more

Ooh I’m so happy to share this beautiful stylish Hotel du Vin Brighton wedding day with you.   When I first heard from Tim & Mark,  I just knew we’d get on so well – their plans for a very relaxed, laidback and happy wedding suited me down to the ground.  The big day fell on the Thursday of Brighton Pride and there was just such an amazing atmosphere in town – walking down the seafront photographing these two impeccably dressed handsome Grooms arm-in-arm was such a highlight of my summer, and made me so proud of living in such a… Read more

Welcome to 2017! What a year I have ahead of me – so many beautiful weddings to come, and as I write this on a cold and grey January day (wrapped in a blanket and covered in cats), I honestly cannot WAIT until the days start getting longer, the sun starts to shine, and wedding season truly starts up again! So what better way to kick off the blog this year than with a gorgeous burst of colour from one of my favourite weddings of last summer – Sam & Toby’s delightfully eccentric, superbly colourful, and downright bonkers Pangdean Old… Read more

…. Well, 2016 has been an interesting year for me professionally as I’ve been on a mission to really develop my photography. I’ve now shot over 350 weddings, and although the easy option would be to coast along doing the same old thing, I really believe that every one of my couples deserve more than that – I want to bring the very best work I can to each wedding. Weddings are often chaotic places that will test even the most experienced photographer, but I’ve tried especially hard this year. I’ve really worked my socks off. And what has been… Read more

…. Weddings are a bit silly if you think about it. There are a lot of things that we do at a wedding that are a teensy bit daft – like holding a bunch of flowers all day, or cutting a really big cake together – or wearing a veil (veils are like naughty children at weddings, always playing up), or even people lining up to throw paper at your perfectly coiffed heads – when else in life would you ever do these things?! But as I look back at my 2016 weddings, one thing that stands out is that… Read more
